Google to Come Out With a Fix For The Galaxy Nexus Volume Bug

We have been hearing about the Galaxy Nexus volume bug from the the day it was launched in U.K. It has been covered by every blog and news portal out there, and the users have been reporting and are unhappy about it. There have also been reports that this bug has something to do with 2G and happens only when 2G is kept on. Many people also thought that this was a hardware bug and the device has to be replaced, but now Google has finally acknowledged and responded to this volume bug.

Google has said that they have been working on a “Fix” for Galaxy Nexus and will be pushing this fix on the devices pretty soon. I am sure all the Galaxy Nexus Owners out there must be very relieved by now knowing that this is not a hardware issue but a minor software bug which can be solved by a system update. What remains to be seen is that when Google will be ready with the update and will it be coming with a Android 4.1 update or will it be a normal downloadable package, etc which is unconfirmed. Idea launches new 3G Android Smartphones

Idea Cellular has launched 2 new 3G Android smartphones, Idea Blade and Idea ID 280. These phones come with pre-installed Idea’s 3G applications on Android based smartphones. These phones also come with data services worth Rs. 3,500 with Rs. 259 pack that offers free subscription to Idea TV for 3 months, 1 GB of data download per month for 3 months, 3G Double Dhamaka benefits for 6 months, and Talktime of Rs. 25. This is available for both prepaid and postpaid users.

These phones runs on Android 2.2 (FroYo). The Idea ID 280 comes with a 2.8-inch capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 528MHz processor. The Idea Blade comes with a 3.5-inch capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 600MHz processor. Other features include 3.2 MP Camera, GPS, FM radio and MP3 Player, WiFi, Bluetooth, 150 MB internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB Micro SD Card support. Social Media Apps such as Facebook, Twitter, Orkut, browser Operamini, and pre-loaded Google and Youtube and Idea TV.

The Idea ID 280 and Idea Blade are priced at Rs. 5,850 and Rs. 7,992, respectively. These Mobile phones would be available at all major mobile retail stores and Idea outlets across all major cities in India.
